About Ricky Steedman
Before setting up his own business, Ricky worked at the sharp end of taxation for 17 years as an investigator with the Inland Revenue.
It was to give him the experience and knowledge that’s allowed him to help so many clients over the years from aggressive tax inspectors. His appearance on a Channel 4 television programme about the inside working of Revenue and Customs was watched by 4.1 million and sealed his status as one of the most highly regarded tax consultants in Scotland.
Fees
“Excessive invoices that the High Street accountancy firms charge are nowhere near value for money and stretch people’s finances to the limits. We’re not a company that charges rock bottom prices either though. There are firms out there who offer a cheap and insufficient service and I always remember in my years of working in the tax office that we were told to look out for businesses that had especially cheap accountants. Our invoicing is extremely competitive given the experience we have in the office and the service we offer.”
Clients
“It’s important that clients get a professional and efficient service but also one with a personal and informal element. I’ve always been lucky to have a solid client base where I regard most of them as friends as well as paying customers. Catering for the needs of my clients is the most rewarding part of the job for me.”
Staff
“I’ve had people working with me since the business started and the loyalty of our staff is one of the most important elements of our success. We have a solid backbone of personable and highly professional people at Steedman & Company with years of expertise and knowledge behind them”
