How to Claim a Tax Refund
Phase 1 – Calculate your tax
Look at your payslips and calculate how much you earned within the current or previous tax year. Also calculate the total amount of tax you paid. Use the calculator below to determine your taxable income.
Phase 2 – Compile your paperwork
Find your P45 if you have left your job or your P60 if you are still in your current job.
Phase 3 – Send your information to HMRC
Gather your paperwork together and send them to your local tax office.
Phase 4 – Tax Refund Processed
Wait for between one and two months for your refund.
